IMO -

MODEL #1 will get you farther - building a brand is the path to eventually removing yourself.

MODEL #2 is a simpler to start but it's not a "built-to-sell" business with value outside your effort.

And #2 is an experiment following the example set by other online creators.

Personally, sharing with other entrepreneurs is how I want to spend the rest of my life so I'm happy with the tradeoff.

I plan to continue to refine model #1 with FIXnotes while I experiment with model #2 as a lean, profitable & speedy alternative.
